Oh, and for the record, his name is Michael. I didn't know this until recently. This way we can stop calling him "HIM". Now I don't know what she calls him, but I do know a secret about a certain hubby that gets called a "SOD" (D = Democrat), LMAO, you know who you are. Just trying to find a laugh during this situation.

And I add my thanks for the updates. I have appreciated this forum so much and know that it takes a lot of work to keep it running so smoothly. I check every day to see if there is more news about Jane so we can all continue to support them through this time. And I get the feeling we would all get the same if we were in the same position. We're with you - even if it's from a distance.

Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement, we really appreciate it. Donna - no, he hasn't had a PET scan but when he had a CT scan on 21st February they said the lungs themselves looked normal but they could see a pleural effusion in the right lung. He had a pain in his chest on Tuesday morning which they said was probably due to this but it seems to have eased off now.

Hey Jane - just wanted to say thinking of Michael, you and your family today. I hope he is breathing easier w/o the chest fluid.

The X ray showed the fluid doesn't appear to be building up. They said there wasn't enough to justify draining it off. Michael was getting a pain in his right chest when he breathed in deeply but he just gets it when he yawns now, so it does seem to be easing.

I hope things continue to go (reasonably) well. As always, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Here's hoping the next update will be a large positive one!
