Oh Jane I am so sorry to hear this.
Please take care and keep us posted when you can.
I can so relate....my husband has a very bad heart and we spent the day in the doctors today to prepare for his next surgery.
I hope that you can truly feel the love and well wished that those around the forum are sending. I know that I am fairly new here but I feel like I know so many of you here already. It is so nice for me to come and spend time with you all and your stories after a bad day.
Thanks to you all and Jane take care. Nina

I'm so sorry Jane! Know that we are all indeed sending you our best wishes.
And don't forget to take care of yourself, too, so that you can be there and strong for him!

Thank you all so much for your love support and well wishes. I really appreciate it.
I wish I could post with good news but I can't. My husband has been diagnosed with cancer -a large tumour in the bowel and secondaries in the liver. This is completely out of the blue as he had NO symptoms until earlier in the week and that led to his emergency admission to hospital. He is having a procedure this morning and then depending on how that goes he may be allowed home for a while before undergoing major surgery on the bowel followed by the major surgery on the liver.
Please everyone, continue with your excellent advice, questions, stories and photos on the forum - I have been checking on it and reading the posts when I can but I just don't know when I will be able to contribute again.
Jane

Oh, dear Jane, I am so sorry to hear the news. I work in radiation oncology. After surgery, seek opinions with your medical oncologists. I have seen chemotherapy do wonders. And it depends on each person. Chemo is not always the 24/7 nausea like it used to be. Hugs to you and your husband during this difficult time.

Oh Jane! I'm so sorry to hear that! We all are, I'm sure.
Try your best to keep a positive outlook... there is little that helps aid in recovery quite as much as keeping a positive outlook and trying to stay cheerful. I know it's hard, but do try.
Try to keep us posted on how things progress, and if there is anything more that we can do besides sending all the best wishes we can muster, don't hesitate to let us know!
