They kill EVERYTHING. Even small birds!
(That is either one small bird or one big mantis)
Rey has been AWOL for almost a week.
I found two worms on my apple tree so he may have moved on.
I am bummed, I miss him.

UPDATE.
I was in the waiting room at the VA (waiting for my son) and I looked over at a plant next to the window.
On the sill was a preying mantis (DEAD).
I felt a bit of sadness thinking of Rey (and what became of him) as I can't seem to find any trace, and the bugs have returned to my fruit trees.
He/she was a unique "guest" for the time and I am grateful for that.
One of the "better" insects.

Maybe he went elsewhere once he was an adult. I enjoyed reading about him.

So I had a few in a tree with a hummingbird feeder, they would climb down and wait on the feeder. Then I read Praying Mantis, if big enough, can take out a hummingbird. I don't think they ever got one, and the tree is gone now (thank you stupid HoA! >:-\). But I hate to think I brought hummingbirds to a mantis buffet.

I'd think that'd have to be one big praying mantis. Hummingbirds are tiny but still ....

That is exciting. If that is so, she will lay the eggs around now but they won't hatch until Spring.

Well, they sure hide well!
As I said before, my version of "Where's Waldo" looking for them.
It gets harder when they move to a different tree.
I found one back in the lemon tree, I guess it devastated the bugs in the apple tree.
Still can't locate the other one.
