I read to Aka once a day. I read him the same story for a month so he can learn it.
Lately, he doesn't like me reading to him (he started screaming at me when I started reading) and I didn't know why. I started singing (it's a nursery rhyme so its easy to do that) his current story and he allowed me to continue.
I think I'll have sing all the stories now haha.

Sounds like Aka is thinking: "Not that story again, I want something different" and singing counts as different.

Maybe he will start singing the nursery rhyme. Chy sings an advertising jingle she heard on TV.

Hi Jane, I thought the same thing. Maybe I should read a different story once a day but the same story on a specific day of the week..
Hi Haz, possibly. He has started singing something lately but my husband and I can't figure out what it is. It's definitely not the nursery rhyme though. It must be a song because we don't have a T.V. It would be so cool if Aka starts singing heavy metal tunes haha.

Mitzi never sings anything even though she has heard a lot. The only thing she says which is remotely tuneful is "I love you-ooo" with the "you" being two notes and higher pitched than the rest. I taught it to her like that because it was the only way to get her to say it!

It’s so sweet when they say, “I love you”. Sometimes Chy repeats it over and over.

That's so cute Jane, I can imagine how that sounds Aka might start saying it, my husband says it to Aka a bed time so he might start saying it at night.
