I have got one of those fluffy dusters on a long handle. Mitzi calls it the Hoover. She has also called a stainless steel bin the Hoover. I thinks she sees these items as having a similar role as the Hoover in terms of keeping the house clean and tidy.

Mitzi does love the hoover no matter what shape it is.

Aka doesn't really mind the hoover. It isn't his favourite thing because we close him in his cage when my husband or I use it, but he isn't scared of it or anything. The feather duster, on the other hand, is his arch nemesis. It's a shorter one with long black feathers at the end.
When I dust I have to hold it behind my back so he doesn't see it when I walk with it and stand in front of it when I dust.
If I don't do this, he screeches and lunches at the thing (regardless of where he is) while I'm dusting. Except he doesn't always get the handle and my fingers are often the only things he makes contact with.
Edit: I've tried closing him in his cage when I dust but he just lunges himself against the cage bars and hurts himself so I keep the cage open when I dust.

I lock Chy in her cage while I use the vacuum. I have to take her water out because she starts throwing water even before she hears the vacuum.
