Mine are never really interested in their Christmas presents, they much prefer the wrapping paper and anything else that is around such as tags and paper hats. I could just wrap up cardboard tubes from kitchen paper and they would be delighted. (Cheaper too!)

I never bother to wrap up Chy's presents. I just put them in her cage and she pounces on them. She does love the cardboard tubes from kitchen paper but they are not a present.

Monty and Mitzi like to unwrap their presents themselves.
Today I got to the end of a roll of Christmas wrapping paper and the inside was a tube, not a cardboard tube but brown paper. I gave it to Mitzi and she has chewed it up now.

This thread made me just now give Maui the middle of the wrapping paper roll. She's not sure what to do with it, but I'm sure it won't last her long!!

My husband and I don't really do Christmas apart from the tree that I made myself and the decorations which are also natural.
Still, we get Aka a Christmas gift without wrapping paper because he got scared of the paper last Christmas when my parents sent me something. It's normally a corn treat that he destroys in five minutes. The pet shop didn't have that this year so we got him a treat stick with pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cashews and dried pineapple.
He hasn't touched it.
