Im new to this ive resvued an african grey she is 42 has one wing smaller than the other so is flightless she takes food from me then drops it doesnt like being picked up to get out the cage (previously owners new got her out the cage so if you dont get her out she wont come out when i get her i get biten tried towel but i dont want to use that as i think it scares her i want her to just be able to come in nd out on her own as it is her home now. Once you have her in your arms she will sit there or once onto of cage she will sit there. Any ideas?

Hello and welome to the forum.
As she is 42 it will take her time to get used to her new home. They often drop food when offered it by someone new. A towel will scare her. Spend time just being near her cage and talking to her and let her go at her own pace.

Welcome to the forum.
As Jane says, let her go at her own pace. Sit near her cage and talk to her. Try leaving the cage door open to see if she will come out and sit on top of the cage.
