I had a guy doing some work at my house, I stepped outside to go talk to him and inspect his work. Came back in and noticed Ash wasn't on her perch. Called for her, I heard her squeak, but couldn't see her (new, bigger house lots of walls get to get in the way). Found her on the small table where I had my laptop. A bunch of laptop keys pulled off. I was understandably upset (at myself) but I got frustrated and yelled, not directly at Ash but in general. Ash let out a long string of nonsense words, like really long, as if to explain to me, "look dummy, you left me close to your computer, you left it open, and what else was I supposed to do? Ignore all those shiny black keys?"
After that she was very upset at me for getting upset with her. Of course I felt bad. Greys are so sensitive to emotion, and of course she has no idea why I am angry.
My cat, who probably egged Ash on, sat there and watched and when I tried to piece back together my keyboard decided to jump on the table and start swatting the keys off the table.

Oh no, Ash certainly took advantage of the opportunity to get up to mischief, followed by her feline accomplice. It is lucky you went back in when you did, I remember Manzi once totally destroyed Adele's laptop into hundreds of little bits.

As I read this post, I remembered Adele's laptop being totally destroyed by Manzi. She posted the mess on the forum. It was spectacular. Max once stole a key from my husband's laptop right under his nose. Keyboards must be tempting for greys.
