An engineer that I work with has an Iranian wife who gifted me a "slab" of apricot paste.
Like a big fruit roll up, but weighs almost 1 lb!
Made in Syria.
Beaker is now addicted to it and every time I bring it out to cut off a piece he has to get his share.
I did a search and found the stuff also available on AMAZON.

It is lucky for you that you can also get it on Amazon. Beaker would never forgive you if you ran out of the stuff.

Beaker will enjoy a dried apricot, but it has to be "gooey".
This stuff he is already aware of the package when I unroll it and he is off his cage or looking at me with his wings spread open and doing his vulture stance.
I give him a piece and he consumes it.

I get those bags of little pieces of dried pineapple and papaya and put boiling water on them for a bit. It softens them and Mitzi loves them. I give her two or three in with her fresh food.

I have those too. I never thought to put boiling water on them. I will start to include them with her breakfast.
