In more animal intelligence research, Queen Mary College London set up cameras around a miniature arena to film them and observed that they like playing with toys. They were given small wooden balls and they spent a lot of time playing with them, rolling them around and even choosing to go the area where the balls were located rather than walk through an unobstructed path to a feeding area. Younger bees rolled more balls than older bees and male bees rolled them for longer than female bees. phys.org/news/2022-10-first-ever-bumble-bees.htmlJane
