Hello and welcome to the forum.
I haven't heard of it before but I have read that compression of the ischiatic nerve that runs through the kidney can cause lameness or paralysis of the legs. I don't know whether there will be any sort of recovery as time goes on. Birds usually learn how to adapt if they have problems with their feet. Presumably Jess can't use her feet to eat either. Monty has always had problems with his feet and doesn't use them to hold food.

Welcome to the forum.
I haven't heard of this either. I do hope that Jess has some improvement but I am sure she will have a happy life regardless.
