Hi everyone,
Aka enjoys spending time in his cage when he's had enough of me or the floor of the flat, but his cage is next to a boring white wall. He speaks to it and the stuff in his cage, but I want to make the wall less boring.
I was thinking of using fabric paint on a sheet of fabric so I can draw colours and pictures and stuff so he doesn't stare at a blank wall when he is in there. He chooses to face the wall instead of the front of his cage, I don't know why, but I'd get so bored staring at a white wall for minutes at a time. Is fabric paint safe? I will definitely wait until its completely dry before I hang it from the wall to make sure the new fumes aren't there. If not fabric paint, then what paint can I use?
Thanks.

A plain white wall would be boring for a person but comforting for a parrot. If you put a brightly coloured fabric on the wall, Aka could be afraid of it. If he wants to interact with you, he could simply turn around.
If it were me, I would just leave the wall white and boring.

I hadn't thought about that.
Thanks Haz, I will leave it blank.

I agree with Haz.
It sounds like he really likes the plain white wall and he could easily be frightened of a bright decorated fabric. Greys don't like change either and that would unsettle him.
