They were in the cage and Mitzi was being mean to Monty, chasing him around and she pulled a feather out of him. She wouldn't respond to me telling her off. I got him out and put him on Mitzi's stand. This did not go down well and when I put him back Mitzi attacked my arm. Fortunately I had a long sleeved top on but it would have broken the skin otherwise. I am not sure whether she was mad at me for putting him on her stand or for spoiling her fun by taking him away.

Sometimes they can just be downright mean & vicious.
Beaker's "trigger" is me talking on the phone and walking by.
He assumes that it is "fair game" to lunge at me and try to bite.

When my two used to fight, it would only be when I was present. When I wasn't around, I'd check the cameras and they were always fine, but sometimes me coming home from work triggered a fight.
Mitzi sounded like she was definitely ticked off with the both of you!!
I remember a parrot behaviorist recommending to give more attention, or first priority to the one who is doing the bullying. Like for instance, Maui used to bully Manzi quite a bit. So then I started coming home and greeting Maui first and giving her some head scratches first. Then she started leaving Manzi alone. I still pet both of them the same, I just showed that she is top dog, so then she didn't feel the need to fight Manzi for that position. Maybe something like that would help her stop bullying Monty.

Poor Monty. He does get henpecked.
Lucky you had long sleeves. I hope Mitzi is back to being sweet again.

She can get very jealous, I had fed Monty some pine nuts while he was on the stand.
Despite shortening her days she has started displaying again.
