I always think it is amusing when a news presenter is doing an outside broadcast and a pigeon goes waddling past. There are so many pigeons around that it invariably happens. There is something comical about the walk of a pigeon with the feet padding along and the head bobbing to and fro.

We don't see pigeons here. In fact years ago, when I had my first grey in a harness visiting a neighbour, another visitor asked me if he was a pigeon. Because we don't have pigeons, he didn't recognize that Max was a different kind of bird.

It sometimes looks as if there is a link between the movement of the head and that of the feet and they can't just walk without the head moving as well!
