Beaker's cage has a nice door with a secure lock (KING'S cage) that is also magnetic.
If I leave the door unlocked and I tell Beaker that he, "is not locked in", he will grab the door and push it open (with him attached) with his beak against the frame.
The door got a little off and was hanging on the latch, so even though Beaks wasn't locked in, he could not push the door open as usual, even when told it wasn't latched. I saw him pushing pretty hard to.
I fixed the warp and the next time he tried pushing on it he and the door flew open, WHEEEEEEEE.
I have to make a video of him opening the door.

That must have confused him!
Mine have a King's cage but it just has a spring loaded bolt on the door and it isn't magnetic. If it is open Mitzi will stand on the perch, get hold of the door and bang it to and fro.

That's so cute!! Manzi used to always check the doors on his cage and swing them open with him on it. With kids in the house, Maui is more likely to go inside her cage and swing the door shut!! She comes out only after the kids are calmed down, or sleeping.
