Ruby has taken an extreme liking to the top of the refrigerator. She bites the rubber that seals the door which is of course not good. It's really hard to get her off once she's up there and will even get quite aggressive if you try to persuade her to get down. It's almost like she's decided this is where she plans to build her future nest or something. We used to put this talking Santa Claus up there and she hated it but the fear has melted away. We've tried scary dinosaur toys which worked for a while but no longer.
Any clever ideas appreciated!

My first grey used to go on top of the wall unit. I put things up there to scare him. It took about a month to get over his fear then I had to find something else. Chy has never been able to fly so I don’t have the problem anymore.

Chy has never been able to fly so I don’t have the problem anymore. Haz Sid is also a flyer, and I have to do the same thing. He loves flying to the ceiling fans and his weight will rotate the blades so he is on ride round and round and occasionally chews the blade. Gotta admit he loves it and is so cute, but I now hang small towels on each blades to deter- it works.

What about something that moves such as those battery operated candles with a flickering flame,or the solar powered things such as plants that have moving leaves.

We've taken to laying water bottles down across the top. I'm sure eventually her fear will fade and she will devise a counter attack but for now we are taking advantage of the AG's weak spot - hatefulness of change!

Maybe keep rearranging them or randomly adding something else so that Ruby never gets used to it and always remains wary.

How are you getting on with this?
I think with AGs that there can be a tipping point when their determination to do something or get somewhere outweighs their fear.
