I bought this sisal Tarzan rope for mine. www.northernparrots.com/sisal-tarzan-rope-parrot-toy-medium-prod343226/I knew they would take time to get used to it (well Mitzi anyway) I put it in the cage and they both slowly went down to the floor and stayed there until I removed it. It was as if: "Right, there is an alien present, keep calm, if we don't panic we should be able to escape from it okay". Jane

It took Max months to get used to one similar to that. I haven't tried Chyloe with one.

I have been holding it up near them and Mitzi has been saying "hello" to it!

Sheeba would not be comfortable with that "monster"! She has trouble with big new toys as well.

I succeeded in hanging it up in the cage and I put pine nuts on one of the knots, which Mitzi took. Her love of pine nuts was clearly greater than her fear of this new toy. They have both had their beaks on it. However, after a while it was clear that neither of them were happy with it being in there so I had to remove it again.
