Hi everyone I am new here, this is my first time posting here. I actually have a lot of questions but I will start with this issue : I own an african grey parrot who is named Picou, we live in Tunisia north Africa. He has been a part of my family for a year now. The problem is he only eats seeds and he hates vegetables and fruit, we tried everything but he just picks up the piece of fruit and throws it on the bottom of his cage. He has a weak immune system cuz of his poor diet and he is actually sick now which breaks my heart but I couldn't find a way to help him. Do you guys have any tricks I can try? Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
It can be difficult getting them to eat fruit and veg but keep offering them. You might have to try various different ways of presenting veggies - such as diced, sliced, mashed. They often prefer them warm and they will often be more likely to eat them if you are eating at the same time. For example, if you are eating an apple, cut a piece off and give it to him. They are often more likely to want some then than if you put it in the bowl.

Welcome to the forum.
My grey wants to eat anything that I am eating. She will nag for my food reminding me of a dog the way she begs. She keeps saying that what I am eating is good. So do as Jane suggests and offer some of your food.
