When my male was about to poo, he would wiggle his tail so I knew to move him. Chyloe just goes. This morning she did a huge load which landed on my foot. Then she had the nerve to tell me that she had done it on my foot. I wish she would tell me before she goes.
Male and female dogs have different ways of going. I wonder if male and female birds do it differently or if it is just individual styles. Has anyone noticed how their bird goes based on gender?

Yes, Monty wiggles, Mitzi is more subtle.
Male birds pelvic bones are closer together than females so maybe this anatomical difference has an affect.

My female timneh will wiggle her booty and slightly adjust her perched tilt angle just before going. It's pretty obvious to know what's coming.

Ash drops her butt and wiggles. I'd say about 40% of the time she will tell us, "Gotta go poo". That or she'll poop on the floor, couch, chair, my shoes, etc. and then yell at herself.
13 years ago I bought a book owning an African Grey.... yeah it didn't prepare me at all.

Hector lowers himself and wiggles a bit before he goes.

Sheeba also does the little butt wiggle, then when she's done she cocks her head to look at it as if to inspect it. She sits on the arm of the couch most of the time when I'm planted in front of the TV. But if there isn't a piece of newspaper to poop on, she won't stay. Occasionally in the morning she will talk very softly before we get up, she always says "go poo-poo"? She sits on my shoulder quite a bit every day and has only pooped on me once in the years that she's owned me. Pretty smart!
