Hi everyone! I've been reading threads here for quite sometime now and they've been very helpful. I'm 22 and living in Pakistan.
I have a one and a half year old AG Milo, who's been having chronic diarrhea. Went to the vet who said he/she is super undernourished and identified it as 'fowl typhoid'. Couldn't find the medicine she told me to get. Got another one and started Milo on that, a multivitamin syrup and an antibiotic because my mom (doctor) insisted. He doesn't eat any fruits or vegetables. Basically, he self weaned on sunflower seeds and doesn't touch anything that's wet i.e fruits or veges. Peanuts are just to chew up and throw away. Started first molt months ago and is still shedding (not plucking hopefully). We can see his new tail feathers but they aren't growing. I'm currently giving him cerelac fruit and wheat, with mushed up fruit sometimes. Tried to starve him into eating fruits for one day. Needless to say it didn't work. Am I going to have to spoon feed him cerelac with fruits for the rest of his life? I don't know what to do!

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I am sorry to hear Milo is ill.
Keep giving him the sunflower seeds if that is what he is used to because at the moment it is important that he eats what he wants - they will starve themselves rather than eat anything they don't like.
Try offering other nuts - almonds, walnuts, brazils. Well cooked scrambled egg, little bits of hard cheese for protein. Protein is important during the molt. Cooked mashed sweet potato, butternut squash.
Also try baby food that hasn't got milk in it, such as pureed vegetables. Vegetables are better for them than fruit anyway.
Can the vet not obtain the specific medicine for you?
