So, does anyone else's bird go psycho when simply adding food to their bowl? We've had our Gray for 9 years... after all that time, he still has major attitude at every feeding. He goes into full ruffle mode, and if he has the opportunity attacks the food supply box ferociously when trying to add to his food bowl, going as far as to flap his wings and climb onto the supply box to get a better vantage point for the attack. I usually remove him from the premises when doing this task, but sometimes I get lazy. For some reason, it *really* pisses him off for anyone to feed him. It's a really ridiculous position to take. I though AG's were supposed to be smart?

Better he attack the box then your hand.
I just took Beaker to the groomer today.
He threw his usual conniption and it always ends up the same.
He gets groomed.
He ends up red faced and panting.
At least he doesn't sulk all day like he did the first time.
By the time we get home he is fine.
Ag's are drama queens.

Chyloe is a refined lady, no attacking. She just nags saying that she is hungry and wants her supper.

Mitzi sometimes lunges at my fingers when I am putting the food bowls in.

Mitzi sometimes lunges at my fingers when I am putting the food bowls in. Jane Beaker grabs my fingers, arm or hand when I am removing bowls, but he doesn't chomp down. If he did, he would be staring at a lot of empty bowls.

Not to do just with feeding bowls, but sometimes any time I move a toy, change bowls, etc. Sid will lunge at my arm or hand almost like he thinks it is a game. The problem is he does kind of chomp but I don't think he means to. Like I said a game, he will even lunge and if he connects he will jump back and say either say ouch, or huh-oh. Hard not to laugh even when bleeding.
