Hello all! My name is Michelle and I'm new here and have been owned by my AG for 16 years ;-) Her name is Congo and she was a baby when I got her. We thought she was a boy up until about 5 years ago when we went to an avian sexing clinic. It's been quite an adjustment to use female pronouns when talking about her!

Welcome to the forum.
Don't worry about the pronouns you use. When we had our first grey (male), we also had a female cockatiel. The tiel was about 11 years old when we got Max. My husband kept calling both of them "her/she". Now we have Chyloe (female), we are full-time caregivers for our two-year-old grandson so my husband calls both of them "he/him". Chyloe doesn't care that hubby can't get her gender right.
