So Sheeba decided to try and get my attention with food dumping, started about a month ago. It's only in the morning when I put her back in her cage and I am doing things around the house. If I leave the house, she is fine. She will swing her head back and forth or around and around in the dish until all the food is on the floor, then says, "there" . Like she accomplished something. So I bought one of those large clear plastic enclosed feeders, it is huge, she is afraid of it and sits on the top of the cage staring at it. She did come down and tried to see if she could destroy it, but she will work on that project later, I'm sure. Hope she gets used to it, I can't fill her dish every 10 minutes, so she can just dump it again. In the summer I can let her come outside and she loves to be in her outdoor cage, she never dumps the food there. But it will eventually get too cold out and she will have to be inside all day. Mitzi does that when I am cleaning the cage. She puts her foot in the bowl, grabs food and throws it down, so I have to remove the bowl while I am cleaning. If there is something in the bowl she doesn't want at a particular time (she is fussy about the order in which she has certain items) she puts her head in and furiously tosses the item out.

Chy is pretty good with her food. It's the grandson who throws food when he doesn't want it.

Sheeba is a little more used to it, has actually taken a few bites of food, her heavy food dish sits nicely inside. But she also likes to sit there and tries to take bites out of it, causing a loud racket, especially at 11pm! We'll see how it goes, it may have been a waste of $40.
