We often let our grey, coconut walk around as she pleases and climb around her cage, but when it comes time for her to get back inside she gets fussy. Any tips?

Hello and welcome to the forum. If you get into a routine so that she knows there will be times that she has to go in her cage. You can try offering her a treat to go back in. Make sure she has plenty of toys inside the cage as well as outside.

This can be a real challenge. A routine is the best and usually works but sometimes we have to resort to "bribery" (i.e. an irresistible treat).

I am lucky to have an obedient bird (for me). When I tell her to go into her house, she immediately goes in the cage. However, when I am not home and hubby wants her to go in the cage, he usually has to resort to showing her a cashew and telling her to go into her house. She will rush into the cage and sit waiting for the cashew.

Last night was defiant Beaker night.
I think he gets cranky when tired.
He burned it till 10pm (friday nights he gets to stay up).
I had to get my son to put him to bed as he got confrontational with me about it.
