I'm looking for some advice I've had my African grey for over a year (had him since a baby) now and he is always talking away and out of his cage but for the past two days he's sat in the same position in is cage and hasn't left the cage either and hasn't said anything at all it is very strange for him to get on like that as he never stops talking and making sounds etc etc and he's always out his cage until bed time, any advice why he might be getting on like this?

I know others on here are way more expert than me but the things I would think of would be:
* Is he still eating well and appearing healthy otherwise? * Have there been any changes in his environment? My TAG will go all "chicken" on me if I just put a new toy in his cage. Maybe there's a new cat in the neighborhood that he's seeing out the window, etc? * How old is he? Is it possible it's hormonal? I've heard a lot of folks on here talk about behavior changes due to the season (baby-making time).
My 2 cents - I'm sure others will have more and better ideas.
Good luck!
Chris
