Hiya, Rio my CAG comes home at the end of April, At the moment there's a spiral rope, a wooden and Sisal hanging toy. And an acrilic hanging one. I have a box full of toys but was wondering how many to put in xx sorry if it's a daft question. Thankyou for reading Rachel Xx

Don't put too many in to start with as it might be overwhelming and Greys can be afraid of anything new. Greys are all different though so I think you will just have to go slowly and see how he reacts to toys.

It took months before my male grey would go on the spiral rope toy. I gave up on it with my female. Both my greys were afraid of new toys. My current grey surprises me sometimes by jumping on a new toy when I expect her to be afraid. She loves toys she can destroy.

I agree go slow and just add a few to start. My CAG likes to shred paper. I finally bought cash register rolls of plain white paper. (not the thermal paper) I hang it on a small tree like perch on top of the cage and thread it through the bars from there to inside the cage. She has a wonderful time biting holes in it, shredding it and sometimes just unrolling long strips that end up in the bottom of the cage. It can be a real mess but I'd much rather clean up shredded paper than plucked feathers.

I imagine your baby might be a bit uncoordinated for the first few months. Don't be disappointed if he doesn't know how to play with the toys at first. It sometimes takes a few years for them to like a toy.
