Hi everyone, im new to this forum and I already enjoy it! So I got my first African Grey this Tuesday and I love her, I call it Sky and she came from a Breeder. The only little problem: she's scare of hands(If you saw how the breeder take her, you will not be surprise that she's scare ... ) so she won't always want to take treats, but in only two days, Sky make a lot of progress! So thank you everyone and if anyone got some tips to reduce her scare of hand, I'll be happy! ps: sorry for my bad english, it's not my first language :S Attachments:

Hello and welcome to the forum. It is not unusual for them to be scared of hands, especially if they have been grabbed. Take things slowly, spend time talking to her and keep your hands out of sight. You may well find that you can get closer to her if she can't see your hands. Gradually offer her treats, always moving your hands slowly and not making any sudden movements. When she does take treats from you give her a lot of praise.
