As most of you know, I will be taking in Pete and Sissy, Preston's CAGs. I sounds as if I will be able to get them this weekend!! I'm excited but it also hurts my heart thinking of the circumstances under which I am getting to home them. I'm asking for suggestions about the best way to transition them into our home so it doesn't stress Pepsi, our TAG, and them. I don't know whether to start them in another room, or how best to go about it. Any information will be appreciated!!

my two cents - I would normally start in another room but I feel confident that Pete and Siska are well as is your Pepsi. I think start out how you would place them anyway in your bird area.
Meet and greets thru the cages for a while. When one group or the other is out eagle eyes on them. I don't think I'd let all 3 out at once!!!! And I know no help, but you're going to have wing it and let them be your guides.

I would also make sure you give your TAG a lot of attention. If your bird sees you giving the new guys too much attention, he might try to enforce his dominance over them. You should give your guy attention first, then be sure to give Pete and Sisika attention as well. Then hopefully no one sees anyone else as a threat and they all love each other.

All good advice. We're all here for you as you make this transition - and thankful Pete and Sisika will be in good hands. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Definitely keep us posted. You might want to first see how the birds react to each other from separate cages. I've had a bad experience in the past by directly putting two birds (parakeets) together in the same cage.
