Preston was very alert yesterday and I was able to read all the email and express all your wishes. He was even able to tell stories about each and every one of you. Better yet he would correct my pronunciation of some of your birds names. He hasn't been able to do that in weeks. I also got to discuss taking feathers with him to heaven. He was very happy about that. So please know that he remembers all of you and some of your special times with him. Even a very special peace lilly! That day was priceless. Blessing to you all for your kindness!!! Chyrel So good to hear that you all had a wonderful afternoon, I am sure that Preston talking about all his "godfids" gave him much pleasure. He always said that he felt he was the Godfather to all of our birds. Thank You for updating us. Susan

I am so happy that Preston had a great day yesterday. If it were not for this forum and Preston, my roller coaster ride with Logan would have been so much more devastating to endure.
Give him a hug from me and the girls. I know when his time comes and he gets to heaven our gray angels will keep him company.

I too am so glad Preston had a good day and he was able to express himself. I cannot possibly convey all of my thoughts and emotions any better than what the many forum members have already said. I agree that all of our "lost" birds will join him in heaven. I really don't have anything else to say other than he will be missed. He certainly has left his mark in many ways but with particularity on this wonderful group of people. Thank you Chyrel for keeping us updated on Preston.

Please tell Preston hello from Jenn and Libbie, and let him know we are thinking of him. I haven't visited the forum for quite sometime, but Preston was such a lifesaver when we first brought Libbie home! He was always ready to answer any questions and offer helpful advice. It made the transition easier for all of us! Sending positive thoughts and hugs his way!

I haven't been around in a long while but when Jane emailed me I wanted to come back and wish Preston all the best. Way back when I first got Ralph he was such a great help. I know how much all of the birds on this forum meant to him.
Hugs from Ralph and me

I have been thinking a lot about Preston's birds these past few weeks. I had promised Preston I would take care of his birds, but I had also thought the time wouldn't come for several more years, when I already had an aviary and house. Right now, I am struggling with my own birds as I have to leave them for 9 hours each day while I work. I let them out as soon as I get home, but that is nothing compared to the time they used to get outside the cage when I was in California.
I don't think I would be the best home for Pete and Sisika right now. I think it would be better if they were to go to a home of someone who didn't have any other parrots, but lots of experience. Sisika really needs one-on-one time.
This is a really tough decision for me, but I think it is definitely in Pete's and Sisika's best interest. I have been in contact with Chyrel and told her about this. I also said I can watch the birds until a perfect placement home is found for them, but Chyrel said she can also care for them until they find a home.
All that being said, we need as much help as possible to find a good home. Please keep that in mind and email me or Chyrel with possibilities. I think the best way to find a home is by word of mouth through references.
Thank you very much for understanding and your help.

Adele- understand, you didn't have to explain yourself.... I heard from Chyrel just a general "all treading water" my words
