I want to get a tattoo over my Older gang tattoo on my right chest that says AP (armenian power) a local street/prison gang I was part of Until i straightened up. I'm thinking of an African grey, a meaningless one but one that looks good on the skin. What do you think?

In LA I'm sure with a picture there are many artists that could do a great job. Body art is a personal prefrence; go for it. Send us a pic when it's done.

I am not really one for tattoos, but if I had to make a decision a Grey would be a good one indeed! Yes, please show us a picture of the result

Ouch. How big do you intend to do it. That must hurt, however, if it's not the first time for you, you definately know better than I do.
I never had one done personally. This thought of the needle scars me off.
Good luck and keep us updated.

The Tattoo parlor nearest to my house says the darker part of my old tattoo will be visable so I'm still looking! Pasedena sounds like it has a very respected body artist. I will go there tomorrow.

Its long gone; the man working at that old tatoo parlor told me of a place that got rid of gang related tattoo's for free. It hurt like crazy but its gone and i stopped thinking of getting an african grey picure inserted under my skin.

My father has a tattoo of our african grey on his upper arm that covered an old tattoo from his reckless youth, it's my favorit one of his tattoos. However in fifteen or twenty years you will probably have to go and get the red touched up on the tail feathers, the color ink eventualy fades.
