What kind of toddler or baby toys would be good for Captain Jack. He has parrot toys but doesn't really like any of them. My partner and I have played with them and played with them. I picked up some wiffle balls yesterday or they are also called practice baseballs. basically plastic balls with holes in them. He will play with it a little bit. I want to get him some more toys. I feel that he doesn't have enuff of them and will end up getting bored. Also another question. Yesterday I was out shopping for things for him and when I got home i walked in talked to him and opened his cage to get him out. He bypassed me totally and went straight to the top of the cage. Is this normal if they are left with out the "human flock for long periods of time, even tho they have the remaining bird flock there? Thanks. Sorry if I am rambling. ;D

Many of the toys suitable for babies and toddlers can be used. Mine have got teething rings (not the filled sort) and toys with different fabrics and textures that they can chew. They also have the interactive battery operated sort of toys with buttons that play music or have lights which flash, as the buttons don't require much pressure to operate. They have two of the jigsaw puzzles which just have simple shapes that lift out. (They can lift these out but aren't so good at putting them back!) I put toddlers wrist rattles round the perches. Cat balls are very popular with them but don't last long.
Maybe Captain Jack always did that, he could just be doing what he is used to.

Mine loves rattle toys, and some of the ones he loves most are quite large. There is a shop I go to called the "Early Learning Centre" (I don't know if it is a worldwide brand, but I am sure there are similar places all over) where you can get educational toys for toddlers.
Babies' dummies/soothers are also good, Joshua goes through a fair amount of those.
Other things can be had from any hardware store. You know those things for water hoses that focus the water spray? They're usually orange or black or green? They are hard but pliable plastic and have two or three pieces that can be screwed and unscrewed as well as gnawed and spat out. Those really go down well, and can amuse for a few days at a time.
Another that is a winner for Joshua is a single castor, like you'd put on the bottom of a chair. A little piece of metal with a plastic wheel in it. Great fun can be had with that.
