Hi All!
Pearl and I are doing wonderfully now that she seems to be more and more settled in. I believe that she is on her way to bonding with me; she lets me pet her and take her out of her cage and feed her, and she no longer lunges or nips (although she still nips at my fiancee). However, lately she has been doing something that I can only describe as "baby talk". Like I mentioned before, she can say "hi" and she does, but a lot of the time when I walk over to her cage, she will get as close to me as she can and then make these cooing, gurgling noises. She is very persistent at this, almost like she is frustrated that she can't say exactly what she means. Is this normal?? Thanks for your help,
Ranae and Pearl

Yes it is normal. Both of mine make little noises, sort of appreciative little clucking sounds or, as you say, cooing. I think it is just a normal part of communication because neither of them are babies anymore!
