Yesterday I had to take Charlie to the vet. My daughter Maria was keeping on at me that Charlie needed his nails cut,but I maintained they were ok.Anyway to save the continual badgering from her I took him. Charlie doesnt like to he closed in so I just couldn't get him into the pet carrier which was of a large size so he had plenty of room to move about and see everything around him.Try as I might I just couldn't get him in it...he was having none of it. I was running late just coming home from work and didn't want to miss the appointment and Maria had already phoned make sure I was going .I had to put Charlie in a cardboard box again with difficulty but I succeded ;D. Once he was in the card he kept stretching his neck to see what I was doing and I was talking to him all the way to the vets lol.He was ok quite comfortable and nosey looking all around him. Once we got to the vets it was packed with other customers, dogs and cats.Charlie was a bit reserved at first just like the the owners of the other pets all straight faced and staring in front of them.He was poking his head out of the box and looking aroundand then he started ............. Hellooooooooooo, Stop it, now stop it, .....Dont bite.......Charlie gooood boy, Well all eyes were on the cardboard box lol. The waiting room was in fits of laughter with Charlies antics and they all came to have a look at him....makes you full of pride when people admire your baby I wish I had a video camera with me to show you all it was so funny Once in the vets room I managed to hold him while the vet tried to clip his nails he took the tiniest bit of one of his nails and it started to bleed.......she maria I knew he didnt need his nails cut.The vet quickly stop the bleed and Charlie was none the worse for it.

I have the Adventure Pack for Max and it works like a charm. He would panic if I tried to put him in the pet carrier I used to bring him home from the breeder. Because the Adventure Pack is just like a small cage, he steps in easily. Even the vet was impressed with it.

Thanks for the link Jane.
That looks quite good to.I could take Charlie out in that no problem.I hate leaving him at home for hours at a time and I think he would enjoy the outings.
What about travel sickness? any idea on that Jane? Obviously I wouldn't be taking him on longggggg journeys.
Any comments from anyone on this please?

I haven't had any car sick problems with mine when travelling. They were in a cage. Monty just sits but Mitzi hangs upside down on the bars.
A member did have a problem with her Grey being car sick while in a carrier strapped into the front seat but the problem was resolved when she put her in a collapsible cage instead and she could see out. Ginger is supposed to help, same as with humans.

The link Jane provided is the right one for the Adventure Pack I have. I have the blue one and, as mentioned, Max loves it. It has the added advantage of having a pouch of the same material that snaps onto the top so you can put a water bottle and food in it so everything is together.
