I happened to open my blinds yesterday evening, and noticed my neighboors had set their parakeets' cage out on their back porch. (We live in apartments, so everyone's back porches are next to each other.) So, I took Chloe out to meet the parakeets, since she hadn't seen other tropical birds in person for almost 2 years! The funny part, which I didn't anticipate, was that Chloe, the big bad CAG, seemed quite afraid of the harmless little parakeets, even from ten feet away... 
...which was about as close as I brought her, in order not to scare the parakeets. She's always been a real scardey-bird. I never got around to socializing her with other birds since I bought her, since I don't know any other bird owners. But I used to take her regularly to everyone's houses that I knew, to at least keep her socialized among people. She's very skittish, and it was hard to tell if she was even enjoying being around new people. I know I don't!
