my african grey jasmine.we were up by the patio in my condo, when a big truck pass by she got scared and she flew so far that that i didn't see where she land because of the trees that blocking my view, so i run and she's gone. i look eveywhere keep whistling so she should hear me and hoping that she whistles back but but shes gone so i talk to my neighbors and put some flyers. i can't sleep that night and i wake early morning 5 am hoping that she would get hungry and come back, but i cant find her, my wife is crying and i was so depress, cause we dont know what's gonna happen to her. we keep praying that i hope she's not that far and still alive and find her. finally around 10 am we were so tired looking and we decided to get back home. i remember maybe i should try calling one of the bird store, so when i was calling , i talk to this lady and i said hi im ernie i just lost my african grey , and then she ask me where do i live , i said mission viejo, and then she said cause there is another person on the other line calling he found a parrot on his backyard fence trying to feed her and letting her to step up but flew to the tree. so i got his # and ask him where he live, and he live just across the street.so i ran so fast and meet him in his house and showed me the bird and there she was. my jasmine,so i whistled and talk to her so she knows its me, i climb to the tree so fast, hoping she wont get scared and fly away again, and i just put up my finger and let her step up and she did, the guy said wow shes really ur bird and he said happy fathers day u found ur baby jasmine.

Welcome..and lucky you....mine did the same ...but I caught her maybe a half hour later...can't stress enough , IF YOU LOVE YOUR BIRD..don't take it out without a harness or tether....just because their wings are clipped, doesn't mean if they're in fear for their life, that they won't find the adrenaline to take off with the slightest breeze!!
