We have rattlesnakes and copperheads in our area, but I have never seen one in a computer like that. We have lots of black snakes too but I don't like to kill them as they eat rats, mice and such.

A friend of the family had a coppperhead hanging around her house. The first time she saw it, it was on her front porch coiled up. She walked right by it to go get the mail because she thought she left one of her hats laying there. Later, as she reached to pick up her "hat," she thought to herself, "None of my hats look that nice." Then she realized what it really was. She had a heck of a time getting rid of it. Animal control said there were no copperheads in the area, and whenever she would beg them to come out, the snake would be gone before they got there. They pretty much thought she was nuts. Then one day when animal control was about to leave, he said he thought he something disappear under the porch. They finally caught the sucker and hauled him away.

GAH! Seeing that made my skin crawl. YUCK! I hate spiders and snakes. We have 2 backup generators at my office and one of them failed during a power outage because of a 4 foot long snake that had made it's home there. They didn't give details as to what the snake was, but it really creeped me out b/c I used to park in the area around the generators. Now I park on the other side of the building.

I hate our snowy winters. You have just given me a reason to like the snow!

I had a parakeet die last summer due to a spider bite. During the necropsy, the vet found an enlarged adrenal gland (normally not noticeable to the naked eye). It was a horrible experience watching him die that morning. Woke us up at 4:00am with an odd noise and kept making it every 5 minutes for 3 hours. We found the spider on the cage cover when he woke us up. Unfortunately, there was nothing we could do. I am absolutely paranoid about shaking out the cage covers now. I know that the spider could just arrive later, but.... Now, I will start looking for other critters. Ugh, the two most hated things for me, snakes and spiders. Just had a chill thinking about it. Thanks Preston! LOL Karen

It's odd, in real life I think snakes are pretty neat and I'm not afraid of them. But I dream about snakes on a regular basis and am always terrifed of them. I recently had a dream that it was raining snakes and the ground was covered with them. Another regular snake dream I have is of them eating my birds (I always have about 100 birds in my dreams). And of course, they're always attacking me. So I must either have a deepseated repressed fear of snakes, or they represent something like EVIL .
