I just brought Stormy into the front room on her perch for the first time.
She seemed quite intrigued and irritated when I took her perch out of the back room. Excited as always when I took her out of her cage... and it quite turned to massive confusion when I took her to the door!
Now she's just... sitting here. lol I gave her a grape, which is her favorite food I've found so far... she normally snarfs them right down... and she's just holding it. I think my baby is a bit freaked out! heheh
I think this will be a short foray... just ten or fifteen minutes, then back to the safety of her room. But it sure is great having her out here!

It is funny when they do that, almost going into a trance! Mitzi hates being watched while she is eating and she will sometimes just come to a halt, with a Nutriberry in her foot, until you stop looking at her.

I got Monty used to every room in the house within the 1st two weeks of having him so luckily I dont have to deal with that as he goes eveywhere with me. I do get the trace look if he hears a strange noise though. I love it when they stick there necks right out and just stare.

Well, looks like Stormy has finally gotten used to the living room. She had her morning 'salad' this morning out in the living room with me and ate most of it. Then she settled down and started making more noise than I've heard her make.
We sat and clicked and whistled at each other for quite a while. The wolf whistles are funny... the garbage-truck-backing-up beep is hilarious...
So I'm sitting here and having much fun, when all of a sudden..
She makes a squeaky-toy squeak! I nearly fell off my chair laughing. She sounded JUST like a giant squeaky-toy! I guess her breeder must have had dogs (he's also the owner of the little local petstore which is where we met her and brought her home from.)
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time, and she seemed quite proud of the reaction.

I love it when they stick there necks right out and just stare. I call it "the vulture take." Kinda freaky looking, but funny at the same time. Zayn does that every once in awhile - he goes into a trance then comes out of it talking a blue streak.
