OK.... not an article BUT he is in an advertisement. It's the August issue, page 13. There's a grey playing with a ball. That's Oliver! The image is on my site to compare.
I was pretty excited when I saw it. I went out a bought 2 more copies. I'll scan it soon... maybe attach a copy here.
Just wanted to share. We've been having a blast showing it to our family and friends.
Now Jim's going to work on "Oliver's getting famous. Oliver's in Bird Talk Magazine." hahaha

He is an awesome bird. Yeah, scan it and get him to walk in spagetti sauce for the autograph, then post it. I hate the delay in digital cameras, and I never claimed to be a potographer, but even a blind sow finds an acorn every now and then. I caught this real nice shot (IMHO) of Pete playing WWII pin-up girl. I am happy to have a digi-cam because we amateurs can waste a bunch of film, you know things like lens covers, thumbs, and ciggy smoke. home.chilitech.net/~pstone/petepinup.jpgJill, have you ever heard of a modification to an older dig cam you have laying around in the 2.1 3.0 Mpix range (I assume the Mpix isn't important if you can afford to reduce a 7 Mpix to B&W only) where you remove a glass UV filter from in front of the CCD and replace it with clear glass? I read it in an article that said the contrasts in B&W with plant, flower, and or tree backgrounds were striking. There were a few examples and it is true. If you want I can either mail you the mag or scan the article. Funny how technology gives us the best color reproduction and some of us go searching for the ultimate B&W pic.

He manages to pull the grate and tray out from under the cage 3 or 4 inches then goes to acting. I just happened to catch that one while the delay made me miss the other. He lays on his left side and says "left turn" then stands up. I captured the standing at the perfect moment by luck.

That is a good picture, Preston!
Preston, yes... with all this digital people still want B & W. I think that will always be. Digital's a lot funner though!
