I took Andi over to meet Pete for the first time yesterday. I bought a good sized carrier, and she loaded up pretty easy. I turned the door towards me so she could see me while driving. I put her on the counter; set up the play stand out of CPVC, and opened the door. Lil' Miss climbed out of the carrier and stood on the stand for just a few minutes. Well she decided that she wanted a cage like the other six of her siblings. After removing her from every cage in the room at least twice, my wife runs to petsmart and gets a cage for her. This is going to make a few folks mad, but she got into the new cage and was just fine. This time the cage fit in the car so I brought her home in it, and she was just looking at all the goings on. I went into the house and sat the cage on a barstool that let the drawbridge door touch her home cage. She jumped in and acted normal with the ringing of the bells. I didn't clean out the fresh fruit and seed mix, nor did I transfer the seed block, so this morning I let her out of her big cage and she walked right in the new cage to eat on the bar and the bowl. Instant transfer; If I didn't know these birds so well I'd think the folks that have trouble changing cages were 1 beer short of a six pack. I do know I got lucky that Andi so easy to introduce new things to. Romeo would cough and Andi would sneeze, Pete would whistle Beethoven’s 5th and Andi would shoot for beautiful dreamer. I took a million pics, now I have to ready them for the site; this puts me three pages behind. I will get there though! It was fun to watch them interact. I figured that I would share.
