Due to the United States Postal Service sending my latest order of Nutriberries and Avicakes to Canada by mistake and also due to the Canadian Postal Service refusing to send them on to me (despite the fact the parcel is correctly addressed and clearly in the wrong country) Mitzi and Monty are temporarily without them. I do however still have a bag of Nuts'n'Nuggets which I thought would be acceptable. However, Mitzi thinks these are counterfeit Nutriberries and won't have anything to do with them. She throws them on the floor in disgust and looks at me in the hope that I can produce Nutriberries from thin air or wherever it is that I am hiding them. Last night I thought I would use the "pretending to eat" in front of her trick but it didn't work at all. The look on her face was one of: "No, don't eat that, it's horrible" Her eyes grew wide in disbelief as I said: "ooh yummy, these are fantastic". ;D I gave it back to Mitzi and she promptly threw it as far away as she could. Monty doesn't care, he will eat anything. Jane

She is too smart for her own good, no fooling her. Jane, do you have to order everything? I would have thought someone would import things like that. I had a problem with the bird store not getting in the seed mix I use but I didn't run out before they got their shipment.
Leave it to the post office to mess things up, I am sure it happens often.

I used to be able to get them here but due to very strict EU regulations regarding egg in the ingredients the company cannot export them to their distributor anymore but can send to private customers. Although I have to pay airmail postage the actual food is cheaper than it used to cost here so it almost balances out.

Its interesting to learn things from other countries. I have met some people from Australia and they said they have to pay 55% import tax to get some things from the US. Its good thay you don't have to pay more for them. I have looked into ordering the seed mix I use from online incase I have more problems with the distrubitor here.

That's a shame you can't just go to the store. I'd send them your story. They may send you a free case!! I told them about Oliver and they added a link to my site. It's on the frontpage.

I have had several successful orders and they take 8 days to arrive but this episode involved one tracking number, which I used on three postal service sites (The UK one obviously drew a blank, the US one proudly announced that it had "arrived abroad in Canada" and the Canadian one announced that not only had it arrived but it had been "accepted and entered into the sortation plant"), three international phone calls, one email and a very disappointed parrot. It isn't easy trying to explain to an African Grey parrot looking expectantly at you with somewhat doleful eyes why her Nutriberries are in Mississauga Ontario Canada instead of in her stainless steel bowl where they should be! Yup, leave it to the USPS bend, spindle, and mutilate it, then tell you it's lost in Canada somewhere. I would call and ask for another shipment, it should be FOB (free on board) your mailbox. Leagle mumo jumbo for "The product belongs to then untill you sign for it", so their nutriberries are in Canada and your's is still on the shelf. I'd e-mail them asking for proof of delivery, it they can't provide it, reship or refund the monies paid. They will most likly reship and the Canadian pkg. will come back to them as "undeliverable". With the 800ish hits per day here we could generate some undesirable Public Relations for them.

You can always count on Preston for backup. I agree with Preston, I would think they would reship to you with no problem.
I had a package stolen off of my door step once, the theif left the packing slip. I called the company I ordered from and they reshipped by UPS instead of the USPS with no questions asked. I had to pick up the package but at least I got it the second time.
Good luck, John

They are reshipping, so hopefully it will arrive sometime next week.
It is pass the parcel on an International scale with the original order. It has been returned by Canada to the US but has now left again, last tracked leaving the US via New Jersey on 1st May.

LOL!! You gotta love the USPS! Canada to New Jersey then 1500 some odd miles to Chicago (near Canada) to catch a plane to the UK. Well at least they (nutriberries) were well traveled and aged to perfection. That almost topps my W-2 form in my mailbox with the return address and my adress, but the other half with the numbers I needed missing, yes, it was half an envelope. No wories though, we can hit a mailbox from 300 miles away with a Tomahawk missle, go figgure.

No this is the replacement order, not the original parcel. From despatch to delivery it took less than a week to get here. I have the two different tracking numbers plus the notes on the order form saying why it had to be replaced. The original parcel looks like getting here as well though, it is currently in this country having arrived one day after the replacement! Looks like Mitzi will be going from Nutriberry rations to Nutriberry bonanza.
