Potty training is a miracle! Jenga has pooped on command about 8 times in a row! Of course, when I wait to long, he goes wherever, but even when I didn't wait long enough, he looked at me like, "Mom! I don't hafta!" then tried his little heart out for one drop. I know, gross, but this is awesome for only starting two days ago for about 10 mins each day!

Sometimes "gross" comes with the territory. Nice job on the potty training.

Thank you! lol Half the time I only have to say "go potty" once and he does the deed. He did it for my boyfriend as well.

Congratulations on the potty training. hillarious - See this topic: vdnent.proboards41.com/index.cgi?board=faq&action=display&thread=1125863631That is how I trained Mitzi. She now goes on command and will also indicate that she wants to go. Unfortunately we had a slight accident last week when Mitzi was on my lap while I was at the computer. I was absorbed in what I was doing and poor Mitzi was tugging at my sleeve. I thought she was just playing so moved my arm away from her which led to inevitable consequences but that is very rare! Yeah, I followed what Jane posted on the FAQ. When I started, I just said "potty" when he went, but since his tell-tale signs are so hard to notice, I only got to do this maybe 3 or 4 times. Then I held the bird where I wanted him to go, and said "go potty". It took a few mins, but then he caught on.
It's quite simple, and greys are so intelligent that they pick it up quickly. Now my conures, on the other hand, are a different story.
