This morning I took Congo from her cage and put her on her play stand in the living room where she eats her breakfast. Instead of her normal food I gave her frozen mixed veggies that I ran hot water over to thaw. I came into the computer room to check the forum. I heard some noises from the living room and figured she was eating the veggies, boy was I wrong. When I went into the living room it looked like she had a food fight ... it was everywhere. I guess she wasn't in the mood for veggies. I put her in her cage with her regular food and she eat there for the first time in 2 weeks, I moved her perches around and she wouldn't go near the food and water bowls, guess hunger got the best of her.

LOL I know what you mean. Nikko's radius of flung food keeps expanding. Initially, it was confined to under his play gym. Then I had to start laying down newspapers around his play gym as well. At this point, I would have to newspaper the entire floor of the tv room to catch his mess. My mom walked in the other morning, looked at the bird, looked at the floor, and her eyebrows furrowed down . She's actually quite patient with Nikko though. I'm surprised that my parents haven't kicked us out of the house by now

I have Megs of pics where Pete has thrown things everywhere, I gave him half an apple once, and had to get out the shop-vac.

For us it is not a food fight, but rather a water fight! I think I have the cleanest floor in town because Cochi will not stop throwing water onto the floor until his water dish is empty! ;)

Is Cochi taking a bath when he does this? My ringneck watched my tiel take a bath then went to his water bowl and tried it .... well he hangs upside down above his water bowl and puts his head in and just splashes all around. I put rubber mats on the carpet under all my bird cages to keep the carpet clean. Never a dull moment, John

Yup! sheeze that was an easy answer. With a Grey there isn't a dull moment! Sometimes never a quiet one either.

The day before I bought BoBo's water bottle I had caught him bailing ALL his water onto the floor with one of his plastic cups. Now he just bails his pellets onto the floor.
