Hello i just bought today a harness for my Tiko. Although it was easier to put it on him than the flight suit, he was still desterbed and go aggressive. he started to bite the harness and me !! I gave him a lot of trits and i imediately took him outside as his reward. However he was still annoyed. Shall i do the same thing tommorow till he gets used to it? Or i shall leave it on him till he calms down? Please let me know.thank you

I would do the same thing tomorrow so that he gets used to having it put on and going outside. That way he will learn that it is going on him for an enjoyable purpose. If you leave it on him he might just start chewing it and trying to get it off.

After i took off the harness he was upset for a while. is there any chance this will create any problems with our relationship? I mean is there any chance for him to become agressive with me and stay that way?

i use a harness with madness and at first he used to try and chew through it and flapp wildly about. but now hes fine in it, the only problem i have is that when i take it off he goes in the huff for about half an hour , he refuses to take treats and wont have nothing to do with me. but then as if by magic hes back to normal again. I think its a good idear to use the harness every day until they get used to them. I did it 10 mins a day at first for about a week and half . now when he sees me coming towards him with his harness he looks like hes dancing ,bobbing about i think he enjoys the fact that harness means going out and about . it has the same effect on him like a dog and his lead. good luck with it and keep it up and he will be fine in no time.

Its all new to him so he will be a bit afraid but at the same time excited as with anythng new , it wont happen over night but it wont take that long either.when you first get it on him hold the leash bit close to the harness and stand him on your arm that way when he flaps he wont get far and he always has your arm to perch on for surport.
