Hello I have just notice on my Tiko's nail that a couple of its red feathers have broken half way and are just about to fall.Shall i let them fall by their own? And will they grow back?

Hi Shaky, If your bird doesn't mind being handled you can clip them, but it won't hurt to wait for them to come off during preening. Yes they constantly replace themselves. Click on the little house on my post to read a funny story about tail feathers

The feather is broken half way. If i take the broken half of , it will still be replaced by a new one? Or shall i take the hole feather off?

clip it just before the break do not pull it out. it will come out and be replaced by itself. if it bleeds use some corn starch or flour to clot the blood. it will be ok.
