Can anyone tell me why corn on the cob is bad? I have given it to my new birds and they love it. How will it hurt them?

It isn't bad as such but if they eat dried corn on the cob and ingest some of the cob part it can swell up inside. Fresh corn on the cob is okay but they shouldn't have too much as the calorie to nutrients ratio means it quickly fills them up. (Corn cob bedding should be avoided in case they ingest some and also because it can harbour fungi.)
