Sorry to sound disgusting but this morning my baby done the biggest poop I have ever seen, I really got a fright, It was first thing in the morning and it was at least the width of toothpaste when you squeeze it from a tube (sorry to be so graphic just trying to give you a mental pic) it piled up at least a inch high from the playstand floor, she didnt seem in pain, or make any noise when she was doing it, her diet hasnt changed , would it be possible that she had stored it all night long, I have been saying "bombs away" to her every time she has pooped hoping to start with potty training soon but I hadnt really started with the training as such, I am not sure if its connected with that , I will observe her all day, she is playing away and eating fine, in fact she spend a long time eating her breakfast after and seemed to really enjoy it , just really strange Sue

It is perfectly normal for them to do a huge dropping in the morning as they keep it overnight. Both of mine do it and they always wait until I have gone in and "officially" got them up!

::)Su,
You should read the various "pooping" threads on the forum, we all experience this "held-over" poop thing where the second they come out of their cages, they release a massive one.
I recently received a nice one on the back of the head, and I know I am not the only one in here to have been subjected to this sort of thing!

Joshua is fairly well potty trained, but you can't rule out the possibility that he sometimes does things he oughtn't to on purpose! These birds are wily creatures and have a strange sense of humour (you will see this more clearly as Indy gets older). It's pretty rare for Joshua to poop in the wrong place. However, when I take him out of his cage in the morning, he sometimes pretends not to need to go, waits for me to get on my hands and knees on the floor under him to put paper under his tree ... and bombs away! He has only got me once or twice in sixteen years, but I am convinced he does it on purpose! Lidia
