Manzi decided to fly into a window today. As he is only 11 weeks old this is his first flight in an actual upward direction. He didn't seem to hurt himself, just got a bit shook up (atleast I did). Do they remember where windows are and not try to fly into them again? or are they more like cockatiels where they seem not to understand what had happened and try to fly into the same window again?

Yes you do have to be careful with windows and mirrors. For intelligent birds they don't always remember!

Maybe keep inner net or gauze curtains drawn to he has something to hold on to if he can't turn in time to avoid the window. Joshua has never flown into a window, but he has occasional aviation disasters where he crash lands in flower pots. Lidia

It might be a good idea to take him around the house showing him where the windows (and mirrors) are. Take him up to the window and tap on it to show him he can't fly through. Blinds and net curtains are good, specially nets....they can't fly through them.
