Do african greys get skin fungus? Mine is only 8 weeks and he has a yellow/whitish spot on his skin that is actually a small lump. Is it normal for babies to have this while growing feathers?

Is it perhaps an ingrown feather cuticle? Or is it something actually on the surface of the skin? Describe it in more details.

It is sticking out on the surface of the skin similar to a blister. It is soft, but it doesn't seem to be filled with fluid. I am a female and it is about half the size of my pinky nail.

It doesn't seem to be something stuck to the skin. More like something inside the skin, but very close to the surface making a lump.

Where is it exactly? It isn't on the crop is it?

no it isn't on the crop. It is about 1 cm away from the spine at the base of the neck. I hope that makes sense. It is next to where the most forward part of the right wing touches the body.

I had an avian vet check my bird out and she said that it wasn't a skin fungus. She said that it was scar tissue and he must have hurt himself before I got him, but that it should heal in a couple of weeks.
