Hello,
I was playing with Pearl tonight and I noticed a little light yellow bump on the side of her tongue. It doesn't seem to hurt her, but I am still concerned. I must have just popped up because I know she didn't have it this morning. Does anyone know what this could be? I remember awhile ago someone asked a similar question, but I couldn't get back there to find it. Anyway, she has been doing that regurgitation behavior lately too, she hasn't actually regurgitated as far as I can tell yet, but she has been doing the head bobbing and "eh eh eh" noise. I saw in one of the more recent threads on regurgitation that a little yellow could be just that, but it looks a little more like a bump. What do you guys think? I wish I could show you a picture, my laptop is rejecting the picture software for my digital camera, so before I can get pictures up I'll have to get my computer in the shop. Sorry to ramble, but I just would like your input. Thanks!!!

Does it interfere with her eating? It is difficult to say what this is. Is it definitely a bump and not a bit of food or husk somehow stuck on her tongue?

It sounds like half a seed hull; I'm sure you have had this with pop-corn sticking to your tongue, so I agree with jane. Give Pearl something soft to eat, that should losen it. If it gets larger or she starts to scratch at it, see your Vet.
P.S. If you plug your camera into a USB port, XP will see it as remote drive. You can copy the pictures to your hard drive and view them with Windows Viewer. I never use the bundled software for my camera as I have Photoshop 7.0. I hope your running Windows XP because it is so much better than the earlier versions. I have had them all starting with Windows 3.11.

Thank you both, Jane and Preston,
You guys were right! It must not have been a sore because when I checked back this morning, it was completely gone. Thanks so much again!
You guys are too smart ;D

I agree Ranae. I have gotten to the point if I am confused about something I come here and don't bother with the bird store no more since Preston and Jane seem to know more than them.

We all learn from each other, hence the popularity of Dandy's. Thanks for the recognition.

Mine had the sore 2,seems like to be ulcer,i gave him Vitamins and prevented him from chewing stuff to prevent it getting the sore burst or bleed, after sumtime the sore dissappeared, the cause of the ulcer according to my vet is the AG might have chewed sumthing poisonous or causes a reaction on the tongue. So take Bro.
