Hello all!
Bella seems the same behaviorally (ornery, yet so lovable), but she has been doing a few things that cause me slight concern.
First off, she seems to rub her beak against everything, like it's itchy (I don't think that's possible, but you never know).
Secondly, she seems to shiver a little bit...not all of the time, just sometimes. We do not have the air conditioner on, and it's been about ten degrees warmer out than the last few weeks...she's nowhere close to a drafty door or window...any suggestions?
Lastly, she refuses to drink out of her water cup. I change it three or four times daily, but she won't drink out of it. Instead, every time I give her a spray bottle bath, she walks up to the bottle and opens her mouth and drinks what I spray at her. Would it help to get her a water bottle (like what they give rabbits)?
She's eating as much as she used to.
Do I need to take her to a vet, or am I just paranoid?

They like to keep the beak clean and will rub it on the perch, the bars or whatever is available. They do sometimes quiver, not a shiver as such. You can get water bottles, I have used one for mine in the past, and it was very good. I am not sure why she won't drink out of her bowl but it could just be a whim.

My Pete does all these three things you have just described. It doesn't concern me at all. He always cleans his beak, mainly after I give him his peanut-butter treat. I would recommend to hang a water bottle, Pete absolutely loves his, he hates bottle spraying. I got out the bottle twice and he let me know that is not HIS thing. But what he loves the most is when I put heavy ceramic bowl on the cage bottom(so he can't flip it over). He gets so excited, he goes in with the whole body, he sprays the water all over the place , but I only do it when it's warm, because he shivers also, but mostly he shakes when he is nervous.
I love my AG, I am new to this forum also and I would like to thank all of you , who come here to share experiences. Take care.
